Better Brodhead and Albrecht Elementary School recently planted tulips to raise awareness about drug and violence prevention.
In honor of Red Ribbon week, Albrecht Elementary School and Better Brodhead planted red tulip bulbs on Oct. 25 between 11:15am to 12:30pm.
Red Ribbon Week is the largest, most visible prevention awareness campaign observed annually in the United States and serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities.
Planting flowers shows a symbol of hope and also reinforces a positive message for students to stay Drug Free. These flowers will bloom in April during National Alcohol Awareness month and serve as a reminder of the importance and the beauty of a drug free life.
