Positive environments help all youth thrive. However, LGBTQ+ youth are more likely than their heterosexual, cisgender peers to experience negative health outcomes. Families, educators, and medical professionals must have access to resources to help ensure that LGBTQ+ youth feel safe, protected, and supported.

For Parents

Finding out your child is gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender might come as a shock, however rejection can be devasting for a youth. You may have your own stereotypes to dismantle through educating yourself. What your child needs most from you is your love, acceptance, and support.

This educational toolkit has been put together in hopes to raise the level of LGBTQ+ awareness within the community. A higher level of awareness can help youth feel more supported within the community. Click here to view all of the different topics inside.
