Positive environments help all youth thrive. However LGBT youth are more likely than their heterosexual cis gender peers to experience negative health outcomes. It is important that families, educator, medical professions have access to resources to help ensure that LGBT youth feel safe, protected, and supported.

For Parents

Finding out your child is gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender might come as a shock, however rejection can be devasting for a youth. You may have your own stereotypes to dismantle through educating yourself. What your child needs most from you is your love, acceptance, and support.
